 Saturday 24th March 2012 British Sprint Orienteering Championships - World Ranking Event: University of York, Walmgate Stray and Heslington The British Sprint Championships for 2012 will be based at York University and in addition to the campus itself adjacent areas will be used to provide an exciting mix of different types of terrain. Assembly will be at the University Sports Centre with toilets and showers provided. Strensall Common  University of York Sunday 25th March 2012 British Middle Distance Orienteering Championships: Strensall Common, near York The 2012 British Middle Distance Championships will be held on Strensall Common an interesting area of natural heathland and fast runnable woodland used mainly as an army training area.
